because it works really well with my skin and i like the after-cleansing feeling from it. origins got to tone down with the fragrance because honestly, i’m not a fan of this papaya-citrus-like scent. another thing i cannot stand is still the scent. it makes the whole squeezing process quite tedious because i must really try to prevent excessive outflow of product each time. i reckon they should put this cleanser in a pump bottle and leave the tube for less liquid products. so after sitting the whole day on its head, when i try to squeeze a small bit of product out, a whole lot just ooze out because there’s no friction at the top to prevent the gel from flowing out. because the gel is so light, it flows around so easily. i don’t know when origins is going to earn a thumbs up from me with their packaging. One thing i dislike is the again the packaging. it does not strip and dry out my face and that is why i think this will be good for those with dry skin too. so that’s a great plus point for this product. have you ever tried rinsing an oily face with just water alone and then pat your face dry after? you will feel like your face isn’t clean and the oil is still on your face but with this cleanser, it feels like the oil haven’t been stripped off but it has because after drying, my face really doesn’t feel oily at all. after rinsing the product off, it feels like there are gel remnants left on your face because it doesn’t give you the squeaky clean feeling, but once you pat your face with a towel, you know your face is clean. one thing i really like about it is it doesn’t feel like it has stripped your face of its oil but still cleanse well. i use this with my clarisonic at night and on its own in the mornings. it’s got some strong foaming properties because a small bit of this cleanser foams up really quickly and it goes a long way. it feels almost like water in the tube because it moves around so easily with ease. this cleanser is gel like and very light. if you’ve ever used the exfoliator with the same name, this cleanser smells exactly like it. i won’t say love because i only quite like it. all the other information can be read from the back of the tube. i reckon some other fruits or fragrance have to be in there because this does not smell like papaya (unless papaya from the US smells different from the asian ones). ![]() from the back of the tube, the fruit extract is from crushed papaya. this product is said to be best for combination to oily skin (i disagree) and is a skin-brightening face cleanser with fruit extracts. I took the first picture from the origins site here because the picture i took was out of focus. i purchased all of my items from the US directly (i’m not willing to pay for crazy import taxes to buy these products from singapore) and saved quite abit. i purchased modern friction (a review the next time), dr andrew weil for origins mega-bright (haven’t started using), checks and balances (i used to adore this cleanser) and never a dull moment (what i’m reviewing today). many people swear by their products and i think 5 years is a good break to start using their products again. why i’d decided to go back to origins was because i wanted to give it another chance. it’s important to know they’d moved forward and improved the packages of their current skincare range. i’m happy now that they have changed the package to a nice tube now.Īnyway, enough of the old origins packaging. the exfoliator never a dull moment came in this horrid tub which made exfoliating so unhygienic because water spilled into the tub each time i exfoliated in the shower. i’m so glad they’d taken those packages away because i loathed it (and i’m sure alot of others too, to allow a change). i threw the moisturiser away because i couldn’t stand the smell of it and it came in this user-unfriendly ceramic bottle (which i have to hit the base on each time to get the moisturiser out). i hated the origins scent, being fruity is one thing but being more than overpowering is another. what has caused me to stop using them for 5 years? the scent. i’d tried the full origins range back then – cleanser, toner, moisturiser and the famous never a dull moment exfoliator. ![]() ![]() i first tried origins when i was about 21 (more than a good 5 years ago) and i hadn’t gone back till last year. my relationship with origins hadn’t been a great one. My current cleanser is origin’s never a dull moment facial cleanser.
